What do you mean, "Naughty???"

What's this crap about "naughty dogs don't get christmas presents?"

Because I KNOW you aren't talking to me, woman. I mean, for real.

Thankful

Baxter and I have spent the last two years together, and I am so happy I have him in my life. He makes me laugh, he brings me comfort, and its hard to be lonely when all he wants to do is be with you.

Glad you liked the turkey, B-dawg.
love,
Mum

My portrait

Mum went to the big fancy city with all the stuffy pack leaders. She went through a museum, where she took a picture of one of the paintings.

I told her it was US!!! Me and MUM in our very own portrait in the fancy picture place in the fancy city!!!

Mum didn't think that was funny, but she did agree that it looked like me.

See?

except if it were REALLY me and Mum I would be curled up on her lap or shoulders.

but its still a good resemblence.

Still barkin'

Hey my homies - I am still alive and kickin'.

Mum even took me to a PROFESSIONAL groomer. I got a ROCKIN' hair cuts and LOTS of treats.

See how much I like it?

Other than that, not much happenin' - Mum left me at Aunt Ima's while she went partying in DC. (grumble). But she's back now and I am very glad. I thought she'd never come back. I was sad. I was good, but I was sad.

She says that this year for halloween I am going to be something called a Toto. I hope its not too itchy a costume.

Casa de Ugh

Many of you out there in the B-dawg fan club have asked about what I do all day. Well, because Mum has a difficult schedule, and I like peeing on a carpet more than a pee pad (though I prefer grass to ANYTHING else), I have to spend her business hours in a cage. It sucks

Mum did upsize it to two crates, thanks to Auntie Vickie, but it still bites.

When Mum gets home, I am so good and quiet, but I just can't help but shake my whole bootie I am so excited to see her. I get to go straight outside WITHOUT A LEASH to do the potty thing. Mum knows that I am so happy she's home, she doesn't need to leash me to keep me from wandering off.

I luv my Mum. I tolerate my crate, just for her. Good thing she gives me treats.

Dear US Arab Sport Horse Nationals Fan Club,

It was LOVELY meeting you all! I SO enjoyed all the treats and scratches and belly rubs and lovin' you gave the B-dawg. I miss you already!

And in case you missed it, Rico was stalled across from FA Patriot, whom mum called "Blue" who was BIG BIG BIG. He won lots of roses and trophies and even got to do a musical dancin' thing in front of EVERYONE in the BIG arena. His mum is only 17yrs old but they are SO much better at the riding thing than my mum. I told her not to feel bad. Jessica may be a great rider on Blue, but its only because she doesn't have a B-dawg to love and spend time with. What else would she do but practice??

Anyway, here's a picture of me with Blue and my Mum - we even are part of the official photos from the show

B-dawg brings you Star Wars in pictures...

These aren't the droids you're looking for.

MUM! I am NOT an EWOK. I AM A WOOKIE! Get it straight!

And now, young Skywalker... you will die.

Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is.

Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope!

Ridin' Dirty

Good thing I know how to drive stick...

Geeze, fella. I may not have thumbs, but at least I know how to keep the middle claw to myself.

Postcards from the Ranch

Mum took me with her ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY. Fortunately, she gave me something, so I was one drunk puppy on the plane. But when I got off, BOY DID I HAVE TO PEE!

Anyway, we stayed at mum's pack's Cow Ranch. It was a great place for me never to have the leash. Oh, and cow poo? It is the best cologne EVER. Mum was not impressed, of course. I got more baths while I was there. And all a B-dawg wants to do is make him self smell just like my new hood. Gotta blend in, ya know.

Here I am the first morning, surveying my kingdom.

One day, mum's pack got real ugly and she cried alot. I mean ALOT. It was a good thing I was there. They made Nana cry too. So I had to do lots of being cute and sweet so they would smile. And then I made sure to bark when ever the mean people walked in the room. I did lots of barking.

So Mum and I went for a walk. It was kinda rainy. But I liked the bridge. I could peer down and look for fishes. I also wanted to go swiming. Later I did, but it was COLD COLD COLD. But I am a tough B-dawg.

Oh yeah, I wanted to chase cows. AND THEY WERE SCARED OF THE B-DAWG. It was cool. But I might have barked at a small one and that made a big one start walking towards me and I knew it was time to go run to mum. Stupid cows. I was just playin.

The first day, Grandpa and Mum and I hiked to the end of the ranch. Grandpa doesn't wait for ANYONE. Mum would stop to take pictures or look around and next thing we'd know, she would be way back there. I had to do lots of back and forth to make sure everyone was where they were supposed to be. Here's Grandpa and I on our way into the cedar grove. Mum is once again, way far behind us, of course. But that gave me extra time to roll in cow poo.

One other thing that was cool was the tractors that were making hay bales. I always end up sniffing through Rico's so I was pretty impressed with how they are made.

Mum and I got home last night. Mum says dogs don't do jet lag real well. I say WHATEVER. Just cause I want to play when its dark is just that. Jet lag, smet lag. harumph.

But its good to be home with my stuff and my kitties and mum is happier being away from all those weirdos. Its too bad though. Mum says we won't go back. And I liked the Ranch. Oh well.

Tag - I'M IT!!!!

I got tagged by Miss Kitty!!!!! I LOVE tag. We call it BOOGA at our house so …wait, mum says it’s not the same thing. It’s an innernets thing. OK then. I’ll try. Here are the rules:

We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

I like how Miss Kitty did hers – momentus event list more than anything. Especially since I don’t have any secrets. I try to tell EVERYONE EVERTHING about the B-dawg. Because, ya’ll are true fans, whether I pee on the expensive carpet Nana and Grandpa sent from the middle east or not. (Love you Nana!!!)

But anyway, I couldn’t think too much this AM, so:
Eight things about the B-Dawg you might not know, courtesy of Miss Kitty.

#1 – I loved my mum right away. I was so excited to see her I sat on Aunt Glo’s shoulder as we pulled into the parking lot in Georgia to meet mum. I would sort of curl up and look sad so mum would put me on her lap (and not in the crate) on the 9 hour drive home. All I knew was that Mum was nice, and her friend, Dr. Linda (who was driving) wasn’t all that bad for a vet.

#2 – Mum used to carry me around in her zip up fleece thing when I was a baby. I even went to work and sat through meetings with her in there with my head poked out and very few people noticed. I was SO good and SO quiet. I miss going to work with Mum.

#3 – I got neutered at 6 months of age. I know, I know, you probably already know that, but it was a BIG deal to me, and I thought I needed to bring it up again, so that Mum knows how much that STUNK.

#4 – I very rarely cock my leg up sideways like the dogs on TV do when I have to pee. I like to camp out and stand on all four feets. Occasionally, I will lift my leg, but only if I think something needs de-stinkifying and usually, the tank is empty so there’s not much going on there.

#5 – I am fiercely protective of mum’s lap. It is MINE, I tell you, MINE MINE MINE and no other furry creatures are allowed to sit there. (That means you Psycho Kitty.)

#6 – I have liked both boys mum has brought home. Boys are cool. They love B-dawgs and are always good for playing with me. BRING HOME MORE BOYS, MUM!

#7 – I growl in my sleep. I don’t remember my dreams – mum has asked me and I’m all “huh?” but I am sure that I am the fiercest dog ever and I am protecting my mum and my treats and I win!

#8 - Mum says I farted in the bath tub the other day. I have no idea what she is talking about – all I know is that there weren’t any bubbles, and then there were, all around my tail. Mum laughed at me. I was offended. Harumph.

So there you go!!!
And now, I tag:
Coco!
Ragus Pug!
Mum!
Tell us 8 things about yourselfs!!!!

Workin' For The Weekend...

Hello my homies.
This weekend was fun time at the barn, and then going to PetsMart and dinner with Mum! I love Petsmart. I got new toys, a new collar and treats. AND I got to play with a Big Dawg called a St. Bernsomething. She LOVED me. (Of course.)

Today and Yesterday at the barn when I get hot, I go and jump in the ditch which is full of interesting tasting water. Mum yells at me when I do this, but I get so hot, mum! I don't mean to get dirty and slimy, but it just HAPPENS.

So tonight I got to swim in the bathtub with mum. I love chasing her toes under the bubbles. But I am WORE out. Mum said I could surf the interweb, but all I wanted to do was say HEY to my Fan Club outthere in the ethernet and tell you I hope you had a great weekend. Its back to living in the crate this week while mum works.

OH. And she's thinking about taking me on vacation with her in two weeks - apparently the house sitter may not be able to stay. She says it would mean 5 hours on an air plane. I am not too sure about that - I've done 2 hours flights before, but 5 is a whole different game, but I know I would miss my mum for the 10 days she is gone and I KNOW she would miss me. We'll have to see.

Mum's 'puter took some pictures of me right before I finished this post. You can see I'm one tired dawg.
Have a good monday, my homies! Just don't forget the treats and belly scritches!

I am SO smart...

I have figured out how to work the system.

See, mum gives me a super treat whenever we get back inside after I take her to go potty. (I go potty, mum goes outside with me, with my leash. grrrr)

And I have figured out how to drink lots and pee little, so that I can go outside OVER and OVER and OVER again. You know what that means... MORE TREATS!!!! YEA BAXTER!!!!

So I've got mum trained now.

OH and the other trick I have her trained to do? I go into my double sized crate and stand in front of my water and food bowls and whine. Sometimes, its legit, and I make her get me water or food. But lately, I will stand there and whine and whine and whine until mum comes and touches the bowls so I can finally eat. Its a great trick. It aggravates her intensely. I think its great pay back for all the stupid tricks she makes ME do.

I am such a smart dog.

Here's a photo of me on mum's lap at a horse show this weekend. She's too funny.

I've been busy!

Mum gave me a summer cut - shave thing. Bummer.

And we went to a party last weekend - I was the hit of the party. And I got to play with big dogs in the hostess' house - it is SO cool being small like me, because I can dodge the big dogs by going under chairs and tables and they can't! I was so worn out that mum's friend's dog, Sophie was getting on my nerves. Stupid Boxer. I'll school her next time.

Mum and I have been playing fetch. But I don't like getting my photos taken. See?

No photos, please. Paris and Brittany get hounded by the papparazzi - and so do I.

At least you could get my good side, man.

And ENOUGH with the flash already!!!

Fine. Smiling. See???

And for those of you with YouTube - here I am playing with Mum. She's such a good Mum.

Is that a web cam on your laptop or are you just happy to see me?

Mum's laptop has a built in camera... you've seen some of the shots.

I think I just got busted surfing the internet...

You have no proof, camera... you can't prove I was downloading pictures of puppy treats and buying B-dawg toys on Ebay.

Beach Bumin' It

Mum got Wednesday off for good behavior, so on Tuesday, we headed to the BEACH!!

This involves a car ride and a ferry ride to Ocracoke island, where everybody loves the B-dawg!!!! You can see the ferry in the background. And yes, my bandana says SURF!!! I'm a beach dawg!

The wind is AWESOME on the ferry. It makes my ears stand at attention!

Mum, I am too busy sniffing the smells to pose for your stupid photo.

I went swimmin'in the ocean, diggin in the sand and getting adored by people all over the USA who came to Ocracoke for the July 4th holiday.

Its tough being so gosh darn cute. It wears you out. Good thing I could sleep on mum's shoulders on the way home.

I get around....

Fear not, Fan Club members - I am over the yaks!! And am living large.

This weekend I got to go to PetSmart and get chewys. Mum got me two bandanas and I look totally cool, like I should, when I wear them. Then we went to Moes so mum could get lunch (and share with the B-dawg, of course - they have a great covered, fanned outside sitting area! Love. It.) and then - guess what?

You'll never guess. Mum took me to HARRIS TEETER in my little over the shoulder carrier - and I was such a good boy. I stayed in the bag, with just my head out while mum shopped and shopped. And two people said they wanted to join my fan club. I know, I know, but I was a good dog and everything.

I didn't get to go to the barn on sunday (but did on Saturday) so mum made it up to me by taking me to Lowes and then Taco Bell, whereI got some potatoes from the cool drive thru lady. I was living LARGE this weekend, my homies. Gettin' out amongst my peeps, spreadin' the love. We told several people about Aunt Glo, so hopefully, NC will get more of the awesome B-dawg family. It was the best ever.

p.s. Riding in the cart RULES!

I am sick

And I'm pretty sure I know who dunnit.

See, here we are, enjoying a nice frolick in the back yard. Me on a leash of course. Those darn cats, free as always. grumble. But notice - mum mowed the yard! Yea Mum!

anyway, from across the ditch, notice the Psycho kitty putting the evil eye on the cuteness that is the B-dawg. Pretending that just because her eyes are green, we can't see her. hurumph. Maybe if I were a golden retriever or a lab or sumthin.

Malley sez, "I told you to stay away from her, she doesn't like you. Stupid rat dog, do you want to get killed????"

Malley is always trying to look out for me. We sleep together with Mum some times. But Psycho LIKES him. Its Just. Not. Fair! She MAKES me bark when she hisses and swats at me. I can't help it.

Stoopid Cats.

See? She won't even let me back to the door without threatening me. And then I started throwing up the next night. I'm sure its related. If I could prove it, maybe Nana and Grandpa would come get her and I could rule the house again.

Don't worry, B-dawg fans... I'll live. I hope. Mum took good care of me last night and I hadn't thrown up before she left this morning.

Wednesday, June 27, 2007

And now, a word from our sponsor...

Don't worry, my Homies - I'm still here and kickin'. If you've checked out Mum's blog you'll see we had a horse show this weekend. So I got adored by thousands of fans, while mum gave treats to the pony and not me. So wrong.

But to keep you occupied, here's a link mum and I have been laughing over. Poor Bo. He hasn't quite learned to that world dominion requires a little bit of tact. It must be because he's got short legs.

I'll post some stuff soon, my peeps. Till then, don't pee on the carpet and beware the Big Black Psycho Kitty.

Beggin for treats

Mum has discovered some AWESOME treat things. But she makes me work for them. First it was treats if I went in my crate in the morning. She tricks me EVERY time - she says "Crate!" and I go running, because I know she's going to be putting a handful of the treats in the crate. But then she shuts the door and goes away. For EVER. it makes me sad. After I eat the treats of course. Because, hellllooo treats RULE.

Anyway, she's making me dance now... before I get the juicy yummy bestthingever!

Its really rather undignified. I mean, I'm not some monkey in the circus, mum

This is me objecting to the tricks - barking loud and often "MOM. GIVE IT TO ME. I AM A GOOD DOG. I SHOULD GET A TREAT!"

And then mum does. And I suppose I shouldn't complain. The cats don't get treats, even though they get to come and go as they please.

Showing with JorJor

this past weekend, after getting up early to go to the barn with mum, we took a ROAD TRIP!!!

JorJor has gone away for a month or so to work at a horse farm with one of her ponies, Rodney (aka "For your eyes only"). I got to eat left over ribs, swim in a pool (What's an otter? And why do I look like one?) and sleep in Miss Gina's horse trailer - which has AIR CONDITIONING!!! very cool.

On Sunday morning we went out to watch Jorjor do something called "an event." Actually, it was just the cross country portion, and when they say cross country they are talking alot of walking and running, man. When mum shows at least she stays in the same time zone and you can always see her. This is crazy hard work. Especially if a B-dawg is trying to keep up.

We walked the course with JorJor that morning, and boy was I tired! And through the whole thing, horses would come galloping up and I had to get out of the way. I wasn't too thrilled about this, and barked my displeasure which caused mum to start wrapping her hand around my mouth. that stunk.

Anyway, here's a token shot of me, taken by JorJor afterwards. Notice how I am panting. But it was FUN though - mum says we may go back and visit sometime. Cool with me.
